5 Ways to Support Mother Earth on Earth Day and Every Day

Earth day is every day.

Earth Day is celebrated annually on April 22. Created to promote awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment, the first Earth Day was in 1970 and was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson (D-Wisconsin) as an environmental teach-in for school children. COOL BEANS indeed!

So how can we do our part to contribute to the earth in a positive and productive way? The 5 ways to support Mother Earth on Earth Day and every day asks us to REDUCE - REUSE - RECYCLE - RESTORE - REPLENISH.  We've listed ways to track your environmental impact. Use this checklist to ask yourself, what else could you be doing to help protect our wonderful environment, mother nature, our world. Earth is what we all have in common.

Consider using a bag when grocery shopping versus plast bags

Reduce and Reuse

The most effective way to reduce waste is to not create it in the first place. Making a new product requires a lot of materials and energy - raw materials must be extracted from the earth, and the product must be fabricated then transported to wherever it will be sold. As a result, reduction and reuse are the most effective ways you can save natural resources, protect the environment and save money.

Recycle

Recycling is the process of collecting and processing materials that would otherwise be thrown away as trash and turning them into new products. Recycling can benefit your community and the environment.

Resuse and recycle for the mother nature

Restore and Replenish

This year there are two Earth Days – one on April 22 and the other on Election Day in November. You can take action to help restore and replenish the Earth. Register to Vote. Commit to Vote. Vote Early. Vote Earth.

We'd love to hear from you! Share what other ways that we can contribute and make a difference. Comment below
