"My dream job title: Organization and Planner Queen! I am the maker of all things planner and time management.." - Tiffany Marascio, Owner, Planners4Kids
We're super excited to introduce you to Tiffany Marascio, owner of Planners4Kids located in The Woodlands, Texas. Tiffany hails from the great state of Texas. She loves it here, but don't tell anyone that she doesn't like sweet tea as she might get her Texas card revoked! But she does love Dr. Pepper with peanuts, so that counts. Don't you think?
In this post, you'll learn how she started her shop, her favorite items, the hardest part about running her own business and more! She's definitely a Texas Maker you should follow and support. Read on y'all!
Tell Us About Your Business
What job title would you give yourself?
My dream job title: Organization and Planner Queen! I am the maker of all things planner and time management.
Tell us a little about your business and how you got started.
I got started making kid planners because my oldest daughter needed help getting organized - a LOT of help! I have learned so much from her. The most important of which is that planning and organization CAN be learned - we just have to make it fun!
What is your favorite item in the shop right now?
I've been asked about my favorite item in my shop many times. It's hard to pick a favorite (don't make me choose between my kids! lol) but I really like monograms. Like, a lot. So the rainbow watercolor monogram planner comes to mind, because who doesn't like rainbows and watercolor and monograms?! I also love working with customers to create custom planners, because I want the end user to LOVE their planner, thus be engaged with it and want to use it.
Any new collections / projects in the works?
As far as projects in the works, I am collaborating with the amazingly talented husband/wife duo of Howdowdownson Games. The idea is to keep planning fun, so we have created and are looking forward to launching a game that comes in each planner. It's been kid tested and approved!
What is your favorite part of running your own business? What's the hardest?
I love being in control and planning, so those parts of running a business suit me well. However, the biggest challenge I face is that everything is all on me. So if I make a mistake, well, I only have myself to blame! And with three kids, I have to continue to balance work and kid time. But I have chosen to turn each mistake into a learning experience and not be too hard on myself. My degree is in art, not business, so I am learning as I go. But learning can be fun, just like planning!
What's one place that everyone must visit in Texas?
I'm originally from Houston, but now reside in The Woodlands, Texas, which is just north of Houston. I love Texas, and think that everyone should visit Houston. It is so diverse and, well, fun!
A big thank you to Tiffany for sharing her story. We definitely encourage you to visit her website and shop. And please make sure to start following her on social media!
